For those of you who don't know what this is, it is pure awesome-ness!I mean this is the book that tops off from what most Thomas fans watched Season 15, a major fail to anyone's opinion... This book (like Thomas and Victoria) was definitely a sight for sore eyes, especially seeing this special book in a modern format (picture wise)!
For the stories, Thomas rescuing a swan is something that obvious went away from the 3-strikes-you're-out overused formula that HiT implemented during the run of the series (I believe starting around Season 9 or 10-present), which made Thomas as the character he should be; SMART!!! The story with the scottish twins is definitely something refreshing, considering we hadn't had any old faces return in the TV series (with the exception of the narrow gauge engines for Season 16), and I found it amusing when they crashed on the same buffers, twice!! XD Gordon rescuing (well more like saving) a hay bale from catching on fire also borrowed some elements from 'Thomas, Percy, and Old Slow Coach,' but at least the people in the book gave Gordon a medal!! An actual medal because he saved the day (instead of another stupid story in Season 12 that gave a fireman a medal for saving a cat... A CAAAAT!!!). To wrap it all up, we then celebrate the 100th anniversary of the author's birthday, knowing that he would probably be very proud of his son for continuing the RWS traditions alive (as opposed to the TV series, which turned the series into a load of garbage, but hoping that Seasons 16-17 will finally make some changes). Long Live Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends!!!

WONDERFUL!!! Absolutely wonderful!! Christopher Awdry does a fabulous job of making his stories feel just like his father's. This book was a super, super enjoyable read. I will happily read it over and over and over again! A must for Thomas fans!
